Places of Service

Jesus instructed His disciples to “feed my sheep.” In today’s church, obedience to that command takes on many forms, but there is no question that every believer should be involved in service.

Local Mission Service

Our members volunteer at Crestwood New Life Church in Jackson to serve in their after-school program during the school year and in the summer camp program for school age children.

Our Food Pantry Ministry operates each Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Morrison Drive Campus. Volunteers are needed for this ministry who can assist visitors to the Pantry with their physical needs while being sensitive to their spiritual needs.

For more information, e-mail or call our Missions Assistant at 601-925-6479.

Sunday Volunteers

Greeters, parking lot attendants, ushers, and childcare workers account for a large portion of the service needs on Sundays. They require a friendly face and involve a willingness to arrive early, remain a little later, and be highly visible. If that fits your giftedness, would you e-mail our Education Pastor and let him know?

Helping Hands

Are you interested in helping others in need? You can…

  • Prepare and deliver lunches for a homeless ministry in Jackson
  • Prepare and deliver lunches for families in the ICU waiting room at Baptist Medical Center
  • Participate in the Odd Jobs Ministry helping widows, single moms, etc. with household repair needs.

Information about these and more such opportunities is available through our mission office. Please e-mail or call 601-925-6479.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

Prayer works when nothing else can help and there is always a need for intercessory prayer warriors. Let us know by e-mail  of your interest in participating in this ministry. Your one hour per week can make a lifetime of difference in someone’s life.
